Michael Xian

After completing his master's degree in economics at the Graduate School of Economics, Fukushima University, in 1990, he went on to work at Yamaichi Securities and SMBC Daiwa Securities before serving as an advisor at Daiwa Securities Group Inc. Over the years, he has been involved in the financial business, holding executive positions at major securities firms in Japan, thus possessing extensive experience and knowledge not only in Japan but also in the global financial industry.

Wendy Shi

Wendy Shi is the Executive Vice President of Agora Hospitality Group (TYO: 9704), a Tokyo-listed real estate and hospitality company. Wendy oversees the company’s strategic initiatives across hotel operations, asset management, and corporate finance.
Prior to Agora, Wendy held senior roles at prominent listed real estate companies, where she specialized in corporate finance, acquisitions, and hospitality asset management. Her expertise spans planning and development of greenfield and brownfield projects, asset conversions, and operations of hospitality assets. Over her career, Wendy has completed 15 major transactions across Asia, Europe, and the US, with a combined value of over USD 2 billion.
Wendy is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) and an American Institute of Certified Public Accountant (AICPA), with a master’s degree from The Chinese University of Hong Kong.

Hiroshi Aso

Mr. Hiroshi Aso with his wide network from his career background at Itochu Corporation, is responsible for sourcing new hotel transaction and development projects. He was involved in development project of Hotel Nikko Tokyo in 1995. Prior to joining Agora, he was the C.E.O. & President of Xin Hua Net Japan K.K. as well as Director of Ten Key Advertising Co. in Shanghai, which runs Chinese outbound travel portal site called jpwindow.com
